124 artists campaign for Tasmanian rainforest

Fresh logging has been revealed in Tasmania’s Tarkine rainforest as over 200 artists and volunteers set up camps to protest threats to the wilderness.

‘In the ancient rainforests of the Rapid River, newly commenced logging was discovered by campaigners and artists,’ said Bob Brown Foundation Campaign Manager Jenny Weber.

The Bob Brown Foundation is campaigning for the threatened Tasmanian rainforest to be declared a World Heritage listed National Park and to be returned to Aboriginal ownership.
