Yarra Ranges Council invites artists to apply for Trading Stories, a public art project celebrating Mooroolbark’s multicultural business community.
Selected artists will work directly with local business owners to explore and interpret real stories of culture, migration and everyday life. Artists will develop murals for sites across the Mooroolbark town centre, delivered in early 2027.
This opportunity is open to artists from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background, across all visual art practices, particularly those with an interest in collaborative, community-led work.
Applications are assessed based on artistic practice, experience working with communities, and approach to storytelling and cultural safety. Concept designs are not required at application stage.
Applications close 30 July 2026.
