This Here Then Now – Calls For Expression of Interest – Arts Upper Hunter

An artist enters a museum. This Here Then Now – Stuff Brought To Life.

Three artists will work with three local museums to create artworks inspired by the museum and its collection.

Arts Upper Hunter, in partnership with Tocal Museum, Scone Museum, and Dungog Museum, is pleased to unveil this exciting opportunity. Made possible through the Regional Arts Fund, this residency initiative aims to invigorate small local museums by creatively engaging artists with their collections, spaces, characters, stories, and people. All artforms welcome.

A thoroughly graffitied school desk or a flat-iron heater or a prison cell. An ornate cash register or 2m high wooden water pipe or flashy taxidermy. A bull barn or an ancient tree or a story-laden Hereford breeder. Or any number of other possibilities! Jump into the EOI document to read each museum’s intriguing “offerings”.
