The Homiens Art Prize is a premier international opportunity for artists awarding over $12,000 USD in unrestricted funding annually. Designed to be an outstanding catalyst for professional growth, our non-acquisitive prize ensures that artists retain full ownership of their work. Whether you are an emerging artist seeking a definitive career launchpad or an established professional, the prize represents a meritocratic and prestigious gateway to significant industry recognition.

  • Eligibility: Open to all art forms and artists internationally. Works completed in any year are eligible.
  • Prizes: In each round the $3,000 USD prize pool is shared by up to 10 winners who feature in our prestigious seasonal exhibition. Winners are also invited to participate in our optional artist interview series The Art of Art: Interviews, and may request a letter of recommendation from our jurors. Additionally, up to 200 artists are highly commended each round. We celebrate our chosen artists across our media (including our website which receives 100,000+ annual visitors, and our extensive mailing list), exhibiting their art online where it is viewed by artists and collectors throughout the world. Homiens sponsors a platform for artists to network and collaborate, reach a global audience of buyers and collectors, gain institutional validation, and locate opportunities in the professional artistic industries. Each entrant to the Homiens Art Prize may request a certificate of participation which can be used to contribute towards a demonstration of professional participation in the art industry.
  • Further Initiatives: The prize additionally offers international visibility via exciting features such as a curated Meet the Artists initiative and Promoted Artists program.
  • Entry Fee: There is a $35 USD fee to enter 1 artwork, and a $25 USD fee to enter each additional artwork thereafter. The 6th & 12th entries are free.
