The Collie Art Gallery is proud to announce the return of the Collie Art Prize 2027, one of Australia’s most significant regional art awards and a cornerstone event in Western Australia’s cultural calendar.
Now firmly established as a leading national biennial exhibition, the Collie Art Prize invites artists from across Australia to explore the enduring theme of Identity through contemporary visual art. Since its inception, the prize has attracted hundreds of entries from every state and territory, showcasing diverse perspectives on belonging, culture, community and the evolving Australian experience.
Presented by the Collie Art Gallery, the Collie Art Prize continues its commitment to fostering artistic excellence while contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of the region. The prize has played an important role in positioning Collie as a destination for arts and culture, drawing visitors, collectors, artists and industry professionals to the South West.
The 2027 exhibition will feature a curated selection of finalist works chosen by an independent panel, culminating in the announcement of the major prize winner at the official opening event. Alongside the acquisitive major award, additional category prizes and community awards will recognise outstanding artistic achievement and audience engagement.
