Expressions of Interest are now open for the City of Melbourne’s Test Sites program.

Test Sites supports artists to develop and test a temporary public art idea through project funding, curatorial advice and practical support to work creatively in public space.

The program will support up to five artists to develop and test a bold, new public art idea with project funding between $10,000 to $20,000.

Artists will be supported through a series of workshops, monthly meetings and regular peer and mentor support to assist with creative development and project planning. Artists will need to attend workshops and meetings, and commit to develop and deliver their project test during the program duration.

Places in the program are limited, and participants will be selected through an open EOI process.

Artists working in sculpture, visual arts, film, sound, performance, installation, socially engaged practice or another hybrid artform who want to expand their practice to the public realm are encouraged to apply.

We’re holding an online information session on Wednesday 4 March 2026β€―at 6.30pm.

Find out more and express your interest in the program.
