Public art curators with proven experience working with artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and a strong track record in community-engaged art, are invited to express their interest to help shape the new North Melbourne Community Hub.
Working collaboratively with the architects, the curator will identify creative opportunities for integrated artworks across the site – including the building’s facade, plaza paving, entrances, murals, artwork displays, and other elements within the interior fit-out. They may also conceive, support and oversee at least one permanent artwork project created in collaboration with the local community.
The construction of a new community hub is a valuable opportunity to reflect the area’s growing and diverse population through both integrated and standalone artworks.
Curators will be shortlisted based on their responses submitted as part of the EOI process. Curatorial and fee proposals are not be required at this stage.
Applications open on Wednesday 24 September at 10am and close Wednesday 15 October at 3pm.
