The poem will capture the centres role as a vibrant community hub for sport, wellbeing, nature and connection to Country. The Centre, located at 180 River Road, Lane Cove, features an eight court multi-sport facility, four multipurpose rooms, a bistro and outdoor dining overlooking the golf course and bushland. The commissioned poem will be displayed throughout the facility and in marketing materials.
Themes:
Poets are encouraged to draw inspiration from:
- Community in Motion: Active lifestyles, sport, walking and gathering
- Ngara (Listen), Yana (Walk), Breathe: Honouring the Cammeraygal people and the enduring connection to land and water
- Interwoven Wellbeing: The harmony of personal and community wellbeing, inspired by nature .
- Flourish: Growth, regeneration, sustainability, and resilience
- Tone: Accessible, warm, contemporary and reflective
Budget:
A one-off commission fee of $500 will be paid to the selected poet on completion of the final poem and submission of an invoice.

Application deadline: 11:59am on 4 June 2025
Succesful application selected by 6 June 2025
Final submission from succesful commissioned artist will be the 200 words in either Word or PDF format by 30 June 2025

Breach Intellectual Property Rights
Include trademarks, brand names, or business names
