Operations and Strategy Leadership EOI – Adelaide Chamber Singers
Adelaide Chamber Singers (ACS) is one of Australia’s finest choirs. For 40 years, ACS has been at the forefront of innovative music-making and continues to play a significant role in South Australia’s cultural life and beyond. The company brings together superbly accomplished singers who pursue the highest level of musical excellence for their audiences, guided by an Artistic Director and occasional visiting conductors.

The Opportunity
Adelaide Chamber Singers invites Expressions of Interest from experienced arts sector managers interested in ensuring the strategic and operational stability of the company.
This is a rare opportunity to work closely with one of Australia’s most respected vocal ensembles and to play a key role in shaping the future of choral music in South Australia and beyond.
The role requires organisational and business capability, supporting both the company’s artistic ambitions and sustainable growth. The successful applicant will work with the Artistic Director and report to the ACS Board through the Chair.

We are interested in hearing from people who bring:
• Solid and successful experience in an arts organisation or a related field
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence working in a small organisation and reporting to a not-for-profit Board
• Demonstrated financial and management capability
• A passion for the performing arts and choral music
• The ability to balance strategic vision with practical delivery
ACS is an equal opportunities organisation. We encourage Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and people with lived experience of disability.
Board policies and relevant legislative requirements are applied to all ACS operations.

Engagement
Flexible contractual engagement (c.12 hours per week) for 12 months commencing February/March 2026, with potential for renewal by mutual agreement.
There will be work outside of normal office hours for the delivery of occasional concerts and events in different locations.

Location
The role is based in Adelaide on Kaurna Country, with flexibility for a combination of home-based work, regular in-person and online meetings and attendance at events.

Further information
As this is a small NFP company further discussion with ACS representatives about the fit, role requirements and remuneration will be arranged for suitable applicants.
To express interest please provide a cover letter and a current CV, with referees listed, to the Chair, ACS Board.
Deadline : COB Monday 23 February 2026.
