Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC) is seeking quotes from experienced artists to design and install a painted outdoor mural in Mason Square in Moonee Ponds. The appointed artist will be engaged to design three mural options, consult with community representatives to finalise the design, supply the final design artwork, and install the mural. The mural will respond to a community consultation undertaken, which determined the most popular themes were:
- Local histories and place-based heritage
- Nature and the environment
- Community life and connection
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 9am Thursday 30 October 2025, and include:
- A preliminary artist statement, description, or idea for the mural referencing the Outcome Report for the community consultation. Minimum 200 words, up to two A4 pages.
- Artist CV (PDF or accessible link) including artist website and/or artist social media pages if appropriate.
- Images or photos of relevant past projects (preliminary or detailed design images are not accepted at this stage)
Project completion in December 2025 is ideal, but negotiable.
