City of Parramatta Council is seeking expressions of interests for a large-scale, site-specific temporary outdoor artwork for Lunar New Year 2026.
Individual or collective artists of diverse cultural backgrounds and diaspora communities who celebrate Lunar New Year are invited to submit. The artwork will be on display from Tuesday 17 February – Wednesday 4 March 2026.
The project includes concept development, design, build and installation. The installation should respond to Lunar New Year (year of the Fire Horse). Artworks are encouraged to be ambitious and immersive, and designed with Parramatta Square in mind.
