The first of its kind in Lake Macquarie, and only the second in the Hunter region, the Lake House aims to provide an environment for national and international creatives to develop their practice and contribute to Lake Macquarie’s creative ecology. It is expected that artists in residence will participate in local arts and cultural events in Lake Macquarie City during their stay.

The Lake House is a fully furnished residence accommodating up to six, with three bedrooms and space to work. It is located in beautiful Speers Point, a leafy suburb nestled beside the largest coastal saltwater lake in the southern hemisphere. Lake House is conveniently located two hours from Sydney and 30 minutes from the centre of Newcastle.

All residencies will be open to individual creatives as well as groups or collectives, depending on availability.
