Calling all artists and creative teams!
We are seeking expressions of interest for an awe-inspiring and captivating installation of a new Gateway Sculpture to Frankston. This new piece will serve not only as a striking and memorable landmark at the entrance to Frankston City, but also a showpiece for the Frankston Regional Arts Trail. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to help shape the visual identity of Frankston for years to come!
The successful work will be installed on the existing plinth at the corner of Hastings Road and McMahons Road (Moorooduc Highway) and will welcome visitors and become a source of pride and celebration for the locals of Frankston. We encourage artists to think creatively about materials and designs that acknowledge the feedback we’ve heard from our community (included in the Artist Brief), and to consider how further community engagement and consultation can inform design.
