The Bunbury Regional Art Gallery invites Expressions of Interest for the South West Survey exhibition component of the inaugural South West Biennial presented by Bunbury Regional Art Gallery —a new curatorial platform dedicated to celebrating the strength and diversity of contemporary art across regional South Western Australia and beyond.
Incorporating the legacy of South West Art Now (SWAN), the South West Survey aims to generate bold cultural programming and place-based engagement through the region and will focus on showcasing emerging to mid-career artists of the South West through high-quality, juried submissions and a series of exhibitions or commissions by invitation.
The Survey exhibition welcomes submissions across all media—including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, installation, video, performance, and experimental forms. Submissions do not need to respond to a specific theme. Works will be assessed on artistic merit, technical skill, conceptual development, and their contribution to a diverse and dynamic regional exhibition.
BRAG warmly invite artists from across the South West, Peel, Great Southern, and South Wheatbelt regions to submit their work and help shape the inaugural South West Biennial.
Submissions for the 2026 South West Survey are now open and will close at 12pm, 20 July 2025. To submit an EOI and for information about submission requirements, eligibility and more, visit here
