Knox City Council invites artists, performers, creators and makers to submit an EOI for Immerse 2026. Immerse is a month-long arts and culture event presented across Knox between 26 June to 26 July.

The unique event breaks away from the traditional art gallery setting to share art in unexpected places. This event encourages the Knox community to experience creativity in their everyday spaces. The program features interactive exhibitions, pop-up events, performances, projections and other surprising activations for all ages.

We welcome projects of different sizes, with funding available from $3,500 to $10,000. Please plan within this budget, as larger requests may not be accepted.

What we are looking for :

  • Site-specific interactive performances or interactive installations including light sculptures (consider visual appeal for daytime or twilight/night activations).
  • Static interactive installations that remain for the duration of Immerse that are durable in a public setting.
  • Sessional activations including performance (offered over set days or allocated weekends during Immerse).
  • Meaningful activations and/or performances that collaborate with our community*
  • Culturally diverse activations celebrating the richness of cultures within our community.
  • Projections that can be adapted to a variety of locations (i.e. structures including buildings, rear window projections and parkland).
  • Works that incorporate sound or original music.
  • Projects that are accessible to all ages and abilities.

*The Immerse Project Team can assist in connecting artists with key community groups if required.

Artists and arts groups are invited to submit an expression of interest for site-specific projects art for  Immerse 2026.

Expressions of Interest close at 4:30pm on Friday 5 December 2025.
