MAP mima is calling for expressions of interest from artists to create immersive and interactive works for its 360° projection space. Artists, designers, filmmakers, architects and creative teams are encouraged to respond to one of the following themes – Thresholds, Presence / Absence, or Speculative Futures – or propose their own theme or issue. Proposals that incorporate interactivity are highly encouraged.
Applicants are invited to share their practice, propose exhibition‑ready or developmental projects, and explore MAP mima’s unique possibilities in projection, light and sound. Each year, MAP mima commissions works that respond to its location, history, lake environment and local community, with support available to connect artists to community members and heritage collections.
