PARTNER: Noosa Regional Gallery
EXHIBITION DATES: 18 July–13 September 2026
A continuum is formed by an element or value connected to the values that occur before and after it. A continuum represents a spectrum and a sequence. In a continuum there is no abrupt separation, instead there is connection and variation from one element to the next.
Ceramics today is a broad field, with practice shaped by teachers, mentors, peers, contemporary knowledge, and histories of craftspeople and artists going back thousands of years. We sit side by side in our community, with strong connections between emerging and established makers, and across varied expressions of ceramics practice.
In 2026, the TACA members’ exhibition CONTINUUM will showcase a diverse cross-section of contemporary ceramics on a continuous shelf in Noosa Regional Gallery. The exhibition will feature 90 small artworks by TACA members. Each piece will be no more than 15cm deep and wide, and no more than 40cm high.
The work can be any utilitarian or sculptural object and should be responsive to the exhibition title CONTINUUM.
AWARD: $1000 will be awarded to one wheel thrown work in the Continuum exhibition. This non-acquisitive award will be judged by Brett Stone, with prize money generously donated from the family of Gwyn Hanssen Pigott.
CONTINUUM will highlight the diversity and excellence of contemporary Australian ceramics, providing numerous TACA members with an opportunity to exhibit, promote, and sell their recent work.
This exhibition call out is open to artists at all career stages, we encourage all makers to apply.
