Arts Industry Development (AID)

The Arts Industry Development grant category supports activities that strengthen the capacity, capability, and sustainability of the NT arts sector, aligned with the NT Arts Strategy 2034. Projects must deliver outcomes under at least one of the NT Arts Strategy’s strategic priorities Empower, Connect, or Enrich.

Examples:

  • Skills Development & Sector Capability
    • Hosting industry forums, masterclasses, or roundtables (e.g. governance, inclusive workplaces, digital strategy)
    • Delivering business upskilling workshops for independent artists (e.g. intellectual property, contracts, pitching, audience accessibility) and structured mentorship programs for arts workers
    • Audience development and diversification initiatives
    • New arts activation initiatives (in “Very Remote” areas will be prioritised)
  • Strategic Sector Collaboration
    • Developing and/or piloting shared services models (e.g. finance, marketing, touring) between multiple arts organisations
    • Establishing cross-sectoral partnerships (e.g. with health, tourism, education) to increase impact and broaden the reach of the arts in our community
  • Data, Research & Evaluation
    • Producing a sector needs analysis or workforce development plan
    • Sector-led research to inform future policy and investment

Initiatives that strengthen the arts industry in “Very Remote” communities are strongly encouraged, including new arts activation initiatives.

Up to $30,000 per application, available to organisations
