Turbo Gallery is situated in the rural town of Rainbow in North-West Victoria. Established in 2015, the gallery is a contemporary art space and an integral part of the creative culture in town. Rainbow is situated in a rich agricultural district, right on the edge of the Big Desert and its vast Mallee Wilderness areas. Nestled along the silo art trail,Rainbow is attracting an increasing number of visitors.
Adjacent to the gallery is a new sculpture garden. Acquired winners will reside in this garden, becoming a part of the Town’s assets. Entries Due on October 7th, with an entry fee of $25 per entry. All sculptures must be suitable for outdoors and a harsh climate and must be freestanding of no more than 100cm in any direction. All selected finalists will have their sculptures on exhibition at the gallery for the month of November.
Prizes available are Major Award $4,000, Local Award $2,000, First Nations Award $1,000, Peoples Choice Seppelt Wine Hamper, and Highly Commended Certificates. Judges will be Curator Lauren van Katwyk, Curator and First People’s artist Gail Harradine, Sculptor and Animator Dave Jones and Photographer Melissa Powell.
