23-year-old Jodie Michael from Wollongong has won the 2013 Jann Rutherford Memorial Award, for the  professional development of an outstanding young female Australian jazz musician..

The award assists young female jazz musicians in the beginning stages of their professional careers. Financial support expected to be in excess of $8000 will offer Jodie a myriad of performance, recording and promotional opportunities.
