The respected Australian blues, jazz and soul singer died on Saturday 22 June following a battle with oesophageal cancer.

Born in 1949, Wendy Saddington was a well known figure on the Australian music scene in the 1960s and 1970s, though few good recordings of her performing at her peak exist today.
