A holiday home is one of the great Australian dreams. Living in a shipping container is one of our nightmares. But an international competition challenged architects to make the two work together by designing a holiday home made out of shipping containers.

Having previously challenged architects to design a symbolic world cup structure in Rio de Janeiro and a platform prison in the Pacific, the Architectural Competition-Concours d’Architecture (AC-CA) hit on the idea of the Sydney Container Vacation House Competition.
