The dance company Beijing doesn’t want you to see

China's controversial Shen Yun dance company has returned to Australia with a new show but the same battle with Chinese politics.

Currently on a national tour across Australia, dance production Shen Yun, sees itself as more than just a performing company, more an artistic movement against Chinese religious and secular politics.

Shen Yun, first established in 2006, travels the world and have played at venues including Carnegie hall and Lincoln Centre in New York. However, they have never played in China, where the group is often banned and stigmatized for the anti-Chinese government sentiments expressed in their concerts.
