COVID staff shortages threaten arts events

As ACMI and HOTA cancel events due to staffing shortages, the question is not if but when will staff be unable to work.

Again we are seeing arts and entertainment venues slayed by COVID due to negligent governance, and even with two years of experience it wasn’t enough to teach a lesson.

While rapid testing shortages are adding precariousness of the performing art, staffing shortages due to high infection rates are quickly becoming major drawbacks for museums and galleries, even one such as ACMI.
