(L-R): composers Elizabeth Younan, Clare Johnston, Ella Macens and Natalie Nicolas will participate in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s new development program. Image supplied.

Women currently make up only 26% of composers registered with the Australian Music Centre, the national service organisation dedicated to the promotion and support of creators and performers of contemporary classical, improvised jazz, experimental music and sound art in Australia.
