Second Front is a groundbreaking performance art collective who meet, rehearse and create work in the popular online virtual universe, Second Life.

Established in 2006, the eight member troupe specialize in “theatres of the absurd that challenge notions of virtual embodiment, online performance and the formation of virtual narrative”. Its members hail from a diverse spectrum of theory and practice – they are musicians, academics, actors, directors, historians. Above all else, they are imaginative and culturally curious.

Venessa has worked as an actor, singer, producer, choreographer, director and writer in New York and Australia. She earned a BFA in Theatre from New York University (Tisch School of the Arts) and an MA in Creative Media from the University of Brighton (UK). She was head of Community for Lonely Planet for several years and is currently Lead Community Manager for Community Engine.
