After closing on Sunday, Melbourne Now is reported to have attracted a total of 753,071 visitors over the 121 days it was open. The impressive attendance figures show a 32% increase on the previous year.

The extensive survey of Melbourne’s contemporary creative practices involved over 400 artists and over 175 separate projects. The exhibition has been both acclaimed and criticised, but finally, having attracted such a large and diverse crowd to a contemporary art exhibition can only be considered a success.
