Brisbane has reopened its city museum with the aim of proving to visitors and to residents that the city is more interesting than they think.

‘We want to dispel the myth that nothing interesting happened in Brisbane, that major historical events always happen elsewhere. We want to change that view completely because actually, our history is rich and fascinating and we have many stories to tell that reveal important moments that have shaped the city into the place it is today,’ said Museum of Brisbane Director Peter Denham.
