On Monday 16 June 2014, Cirque du Soleil officially celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Originally a small band of street performers known as Les Échassiers de Baie-Saint-Paul (the Baie-Saint-Paul Stiltwalkers), the Quebec-based company now includes thousands of performers, technicians and others, almost 4000 people in total, including 1300 performing artists from close to 50 different countries, performing in some 20 productions.
