The three recipients are the young Indigenous musician, Yirrmal Marika, the Surf Coast’s The Murlocs, and Geelong-based girl-group, The Sweethearts, best known for their appearance in ABC TV’s documentary, Heart and Soul.
The Grant supports local musicians from the Geelong, Barwon South West and Bellarine Peninsula regions, who are in the early stages of their career and who harmonise with the Festival’s mission of Excellence, Discovery and Community.
