Brisbane Festival premieres Fabulous Beast’s update of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and Petrushka.
Ireland’s Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre presents a double bill of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring and Petrushka in an Australian premiere for Brisbane Festival. For this performance, director and choreographer Michael Keegan-Dolan has reworked his triumphant 2009 co-production of the masterpiece with the English National Opera and paired it with the lesser known Petrushka to make a compelling contrast of the visceral and the ethereal.
