Artists compete to work in whisky distillery

Author William Faulkner considered whisky a tool of his trade. For one lucky artist it will also provide a studio.

From container ships to airports, and Paris studios to the Antarctic wilderness, the right residency can expose artists to uniquely stimulating surroundings. The six Australian-based artists shortlisted for the 2016 Glenfiddich Artists in Residence Prize are all hoping to obtain what must sure be one of the most colourful residencies in the world: three months living and working at a whisky distillery in the remote Scottish highlands.
