6000 voices urge the Victorian Government to save South Melbourne Town Hall

A letter signed by 6000 people calls for the Allan Labor Government to step in and restore the Victorian-era building.

Prior to the Federal election on Saturday 3 May, the Albanese Government promised, if reelected, to provide $12.5 million to the South Melbourne Town Hall revitalisation, the penultimate donation needed to fulfil the project budget.

Now, it is hoped Premier Jacinta Allan’s Victorian Government will provide the missing piece of the puzzle.

Adding their collective voices to the call for action are 6000 concerned residents, who have called on the State Government to act.
