What’s your body language saying to your employer?

Body language is a huge element in forming other people’s opinions of us. Make sure their opinion is a good one.

There are all the obvious gestures, firm handshakes, eye contact, smiling, nodding… But what about the more subtle messages our bodies relay?

Standing up straight says that you are confident, and ready to face the world (even if you’re not). Strong gestures demonstrate enthusiasm and animation (though don’t overdo it). Good eye contact shows that you are trustworthy and understanding.
