Sometimes applicants are hesitant to admit to ever having made mistakes – but they can be turned into positives. When you can show that you have learnt from your mistakes and how that has improved the way you do things it shows both resilience and adaptability.

Many roles require people to be flexible and adaptive and many employers will view favourably applicants that can show a capacity to recognise and recover from difficulties and mistakes.
