More jobs for local opera singers? Govt supports National Opera Review

Opera companies that don’t employ an ‘appropriate balance’ of Australian singers could be fined up to $200,000.

The Turnbull Government has released its long-awaited response to the 118 recommendations from the National Opera Review Final Report.

Commissioned in 2014, the findings of the National Opera Review were handed down in October last year.
