Sixty one independent venues have joined together to launch a petition, Save Our Stages NSW, urging the state government to act before the state’s live music industry collapses.
An open letter written by the organisers of Save Our Stages NSW states: ‘Live music in NSW is under threat. Unless there is immediate government intervention, we risk losing 85% of the state’s live music venues within the next 12 months.’
