Marketing Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of key project and company marketing campaigns, collateral and content.

Performing Lines (PL) is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator who will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager on the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, collateral and content creation for key Performing Lines projects and general company marketing.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in delivering marketing and communication campaigns and strategies, including digital marketing, an ability to collaborate and think creatively, excellent written and verbal communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines.

The role is full-time with standard contact hours. As the role works across all projects, initiatives and events nationally, the role could be based in any of PL’s offices in Sydney/Warrane, Melbourne/Naarm, Hobart/Nipaluna or Perth/Boorloo. From time-to-time the role will require work outside of regular office hours. This is a two-year fixed-term contract with a target start date of November 2025. Contract extension or permanent employment will be subject to funding, performance and organisational needs.

Position Description: 

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of key project marketing campaigns, collateral and content, and for contributing to company marketing, communications and brand activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and state-based producing teams, the Marketing Coordinator will collaborate on the design and personally deliver marketing strategies and campaigns for Performing Lines projects and initiatives, with tasks including: 
    • Devise and create marketing kits, pitch documents and presentation packs for productions and tours
    • Draft media releases  
    • Develop digital marketing campaigns
    • Create content and collateral for different target audiences
    • Oversee design, print and distribution of promotional materials  
    • Coordinate promotional and documentation photography and videography, including development of creative briefs, working with artists and PL producers  
    • Manage media and publicity requests working within production schedules 
    • Contribute to audience and community engagement plans  
    • Liaise with artists and presenters regarding bespoke marketing requirements 
    • Manage approvals of public facing marketing materials created by presenters, including venues and festivals  
    • Ensure consistency, visibility and elevation of PL branding across all projects
    • Ensure partner, funder and donor acknowledgments are accurately and appropriately represented across all relevant channels
    • In consultation with producing teams, manage bespoke stakeholder invitation lists and invites for each presentation / development / tour
    • Coordinate company submissions to Performing Arts Markets, awards etc. as required
  • Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager contributes to general company marketing tools and channels including:
    • Proactively updating the company website to ensure information online is up-to-date and speaks to target audience/s
    • Contributing to comms schedule including (but limited to) social media planning, content creation and scheduling of posts
    • Contributing to e-news planning, development of content and building of e-newsletters
    • Supporting with the management of general media requests as required
    • Coordinating the design and production of company marketing collateral to support fundraising campaigns, market development or general brand promotion
    • Support on stakeholder events and contributing to communications planning and brand alignment of those events
  • Deliver activity within marketing budgets as required by the Senior Marketing Manager  
  • Contribute to funding and grant applications and acquittals through creation of support material, provision of marketing and communications plans and other support as requested by the producing teams. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders of the company including artists and companies, presenters and commissioning partners, funding organisations, media, suppliers, sponsors and donors.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of news and events, industry standards and marketing trends in the performing arts sector

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering marketing and communication campaigns and strategies, including digital marketing
  • Ability to collaborate and think creatively to develop and deliver marketing campaigns
  • Ability to collaborate with artists and producers to create impactful content / collateral
  • Experience proofreading and editing, with very strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt communication style / tone to different target audiences.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, skilled with prioritizing and managing competing deadlines 
  • Experience using marketing software such Campaign Monitor, Survey Monkey, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and others as required
  • Computer efficiency – MS Office, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, AirTable and Dropbox 

Education & Prior Work Experience:

Essential

  • 3+ years previous experience working in a marketing or communications role
