Temporary Part Time – 15.2 hours per week until 21 July 2026 (Job Share Position)

Salary Range: $53.33 – $59.32 per hour plus 12% Superannuation

Location: Latrobe Regional Gallery, Morwell

Department: Creative Venues, Events and Tourism

 

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Latrobe Regional Gallery Team. As the Coordinator of Latrobe Regional Gallery your role will be to provide leadership for the Latrobe Regional Gallery ensuring efficient management and delivery of services.

You will oversee the development and implementation of exhibition, collection management and public engagement programs ensuring effective resource allocation, budgeting and staff management to achieve objectives.

About You

For this position we are seeking someone who has previous experience in coordinating a gallery, museum or cultural institution along with the capacity to supervise employees to achieve strategic goals of Council’s creative venues.

You will have:

  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Arts Administration, Museum Studies, Business Management or a related field, or extensive experience in gallery or museum operations.
  • Experience in exhibition planning, collection management, and public programming.
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk, regulatory and compliance issues across all aspects of creative venues and the ability to apply these principles within the workplace.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and/or significant knowledge in the maintenance of a safe environment within a creative venue setting is desirable.
  • Current Driver’s Licence is desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
