Artists of the South Asian diaspora ‘share the future’ in program launch

Over 100 artists have been announced for the return of the Sangam Festival 2021. Held over four weekends in Melbourne, the program reveals spoken word, music, dance, theatre and more.

The call for rich diverse voices in performance will be answered in this year’s much anticipated Sangam Festival, with a program celebrating artistry from the South Asian diaspora.

Co-produced by Multicultural Arts Victoria (MAV), and supported by the Victorian Government through Victoria’s India Strategy: Our Shared Future, the 2021 program presents immersive experiences, environmental walking tours, an eclectic range of music, Bollywood dancing, interactive spoken word, comedy with contemporary and experimental performances thrown into the mix.
