Are you a writer or would you like to start writing?

Let objects guide your stories in this creative writing workshop with our current artist in residence Johanna Ellersdorfer.

During this one-day workshop, writer Johanna Ellersdorfer will introduce various ways that writers write about objects and the material world. Participants will then work through a number of creative writing exercises in response to objects as a way of sharpening observation, generating ideas and starting to write.

Bring along a personal item to guide your writing – it can be something precious or something from your everyday life. There will also be some items available from the Hurstville Museum & Gallery collection for inspiration.
