Join us in this fun, spontaneous workshop as you learn how to create stunning marbled pottery using the fascinating technique of Niriage (coloured clay).
Our in-house potter and teacher, Dyllan, has hand-wedged over 20 different coloured clays for your selection in your pieces. Join us in creating one to two unique pots on the wheel.
Dive into the world of pottery and discover the basic mechanics of throwing clay on the wheel. While learning the fundamental techniques, you will also be introduced to the fascinating art of marbling using coloured clay.
Throughout the workshop, our knowledgeable instructors will guide you step by step, sharing techniques and methods to help you create stunning marbled pottery pieces.
Once your pieces are complete, they will be dried and undergo two firings, which will makes your pieces food-safe and dishwasher safe. If you prefer a raw, unglazed look, just let your teacher know and they will guide you accordingly.
At the end of this wheel throwing class, you will have not only gained the skills and knowledge to create marbled pottery but you will also take home your own unique creations.
