Join artist and illustrator Ingrid for this 3-hour beginners watercolour and fineliner workshop creating some joyful moths and butterflies!
To start, Ingrid will guide you through some warm ups so you can get familiar with your tools and the basics of using watercolour paints. Ingrid will then demonstrate how to mix colours for your moths and butterflies, and how to create different gradients and patterns for their wings. You’ll also be shown how to use masking fluid and fine liners with watercolour to achieve some unique effects.
You’ll then have the opportunity to bring these skills together, creating your own series of winged watercolour creations. There will be templates available or you can also choose to draw your own design if you’re up for the challenge!
This workshop is suitable for beginners with little or no experience, and all materials are supplied.
