The Semester 2 program at UQ Art Musuem presents a diverse range of viewpoints, united and guided by a shared sense of community and care.

to come together as water, curated by Freja Carmichael, shares an expansive reimagining of water protection, anchored by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and lived experiences. Yuriyal Bridgeman’s SUNA (Middle Ground) brings a to-scale replica of a traditional Papua New Guinea raun haus to the UQ Art Museum lawn. Rachel O’Reilly’s new feature-length experimental film NORTHERN WATERS explores complex aftermaths of the successful 1960s Save the Reef Campaign. WE CALL YOU! Sisters! Mothers! Workers!, curated by UQ PhD candidate Benison Kilby, presents the first exhibition in Australia by the international artist and filmmaker Petra Bauer.
