The University of Melbourne Wind Symphony features the very best student wind instrumentalists from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, led by Associate Professor Jackie Hartenberger. The Wind Symphony will perform its first interstate tour in August 2025, with shows featuring energetic programs highlighting compositions by Paul Hindemith, Katharine Parker and more:
- 17 August: Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre
- 21 August: Conservatorium Theatre, Queensland Conservatorium
- 23 August: Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music
The Brisbane show will be a special collaboration performance with the Queensland Conservatorium Wind Orchestra, presenting an exciting world premiere of Paul Dean’s commissioned work, Symphony No. 4 for Winds.
