Lounge Gallery – 28 June until 2 August
Busch’s practice is grounded in an exploration of place and in the forms, textures and colours of specific topography, researched by walking. Footsteps are like the repetitive motions of weaving – rhythmic and slow. Weaving with hand-dyed jute fibre on hand-built looms, Tony creates sculptural textiles based on abstractions of the forms he encounters in chosen locations. These new works are conceived in the riverside studio as a direct response to specific places discovered in the Onkaparinga locale.
