The Surrealist Prize has returned for 2026!
“We’re looking for Australian creatives who dare express the innermost muddling of their psychic seas; using paint, text, or any combination of media that can be reasonably framed: show us what ‘surreal’ means to you, in a way only you can…“
Hopeful artists and poets have until September 13th to purchase a ticket and submit a piece for consideration. Those who make the shortlisted will have their work displayed at the dAda mUse gallery for the length of October, ahead of judging.
This year’s prizes include:
- Major Surrealist Prize – $1500 acquisitive.
- Peoples’ Choice: Artwork – $750 acquisitive.
- Peoples’ Choice: Poetry – $750 acquisitive.
