Please bring one or two poems you’d like to workshop with the class as well as pen and paper or a fully charged device to participate in the writing exercises.
Note: those attending this workshop will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Jennifer in a follow-up online session. Instructions and deadlines will be provided during the workshop.

Jennifer Compton has been in the poetry game for a very long time, indeed ever since she sold her first poem at the age of 14 for five pounds seven shillings and sixpence. In 2013 her poem ‘Now You Shall Know’ won the Newcastle Poetry Prize. In 2025 she is a co-judge of that very same prize with up-and-coming Sydney poet Eunice Andrada.
