Set in 1990s USA, this compelling piece of theatre was written by Dan Butler (‘Frasier’) and is a 90 minute monologue discussing many aspects of LGBTQ+ life.
CJ de Mooi (Winner of the 2024 Matilda Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role – Independent Production) performs 11 different characters in the intimate setting of Backdock Arts, Brisbane.
This emotional and affecting play has never been perfromed outside of North America and not for many years so this revival will be its international premiere. Often funny and poignant but at times heart wrenching, The Only Thing Worse You Could Have Told Me is nothing less than an honest portrayal of the challenges faced every day by real people living their authentic lives.
