She needs to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, it’s her.

Three children. A husband having a seizure. A Teams meeting asking if now is still a good time.

Welcome to one impossible morning in The Manager Is Me, a hilarious meltdown about motherhood, invisible labour and losing your shit in a really organised way.

Victorian Poetry Slam champion Dayna Fallon brings comedy, spoken word and theatre together in a 55-minute solo show about being everyone’s accountant, nurse, cook, hostage negotiator and goddamn magician, and knowing that if you fall apart, nobody else knows how to keep it all going.

But how do you keep being everything to everyone without losing sight of yourself?

Drawn from Fallon’s own experiences of motherhood and caring for her husband, The Manager Is Me finds humour in the absurdity of holding everything together, and tenderness in what it takes.

Directed by Cathy Hunt, director of the Green Room Award-winning Labyrinth.

For the mums. The carers. Anyone who has nearly lost their mind before 9am. If five minutes alone in the car counts as a micro-holiday, this show is for you.
